Partnership Terms — Sustainable Growth Through Mutual Commitment
Sustainable Growth Through Mutual Commitment
In Uganda, tourism is a vital economic engine supporting 1 in every 10 jobs. When you book with us, you are activating a supply chain that prioritizes fair wages, local suppliers, and immediate conservation funding. Our terms are designed to provide professional flexibility for your clients while ensuring the stability of our local partners and wildlife projects.
1. Booking & Payment
- Deposit: A 30% deposit is required to secure your safari.
- Impact Activation: Upon receipt of your deposit, 10% of the tour fee is immediately earmarked for Help African Animals (HAA) to support legal wildlife protection and law enforcement training.
- Permit Management: Payments for Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits are required in full at the time of booking. These funds are paid directly to the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to fund the rangers who protect the 50% of the world's remaining Mountain Gorillas found in Uganda.
- Final Balance: The remaining balance is due 150 days prior to the safari start date.
2. Cancellation & Fair-Share Refunds
We understand that travel plans can be unpredictable. Our refund structure reflects our commitment to local community equity—ensuring that if a trip is cancelled, the local staff and suppliers who have reserved their time are fairly compensated.
| Cancellation Period | Refund Amount | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 122+ Days Prior | 100% of Balance | Excluding non-refundable permits and 30% admin fee. |
| 121 – 90 Days Prior | 70% of Balance | Supports local lodge and transport partners' lost revenue. |
| Less than 90 Days | 0% Refund | Ensures 1 in 10 Ugandan jobs remain secure despite late changes. |
Gorilla & Chimpanzee Permits: As per UWA regulations, these permits are 100% non-refundable, as they are the primary funding source for gorilla population growth and community revenue sharing.
Sustainability Levy: The 10% conservation contribution to HAA is non-refundable, as these funds are put to work immediately for wildlife defence.
3. Resilience & Flexibility
- Postponement: We offer a one-time complimentary postponement (subject to seasonal rate changes and permit availability) if requested at least 30 days before departure.
- Force Majeure: In the event of government-mandated travel closures, we will work with our partners to provide credit notes valid for 12 months, ensuring your client's investment is protected while keeping the Ugandan tourism sector resilient.
Why Our Terms are Different
Unlike traditional operators, our refund policy is rooted in Socio-Economic Responsibility. We prioritize Transparency and Accountability in our financial dealings just as we do in our impact reporting. By adhering to these terms, you help us maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward economic instability in the communities that guard Uganda’s biodiversity.
